TOUCH THE ROSES!

AN ACCESSIBLE MULTISENSORY PATHWAY AT THE FLORENCE ROSE GARDEN
TOUCH THE ROSES!

Thanks to a collaboration with the City of Florence, this project was born to make the Rose Garden of the city of Florence specifically accessible to people who are blind or visually impaired, but also to be able to enjoy the heritage through different codes, in this case tactile codes. Thanks to a podcast designed as a motor fairy tale, which uses the codes of touch and smell as essential to knowledge of the Garden, viisitors and visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the discovery of the garden's more than 350 varieties of roses, and the statues of artist Jean Michel Folon. The project was carried out with the collaboration and supervision of the Italian Association of the Blind of Florence and the Quartotempo Association.
